The Pera d'Abruzzo is a very special flesh tomato in the shape of a large pear, native to the Abruzzo region around Chieti and Teramo. In these areas it has always been appreciated for its rich and practically seedless pulp, ideal for Passata. Its sweet and velvety flavor makes this tomato passata inimitable and far superior to commercial tomato sauces.
