From an overripe harvest of Montepulciano and Merlot grapes comes this wine with a lush bouquet and exceptional softness. The residual sugar resulting from the partial drying of grapes from vines over 30 years old combines with an elegant concentration of extractive elements reminiscent of sour cherry, plum and red fruits, revealing a harmoniously balanced tannin. Its essence captivates the palate, offering sensations of aromatic richness and fruit integrity. A great wine, round and extremely pleasant, it is excellent with complex dishes - but it can be enjoyed very well without food.
As this wine is made from two grape varieties, the maceration is carried out with the skins separated: 12 days for the Merlot grape, 16 days for the Montepulciano grape. This is followed by 3 months of ageing in concrete vats, one year of ageing in oak barrels, 6 months of resting in cement vats and finally 6 months of refinement in the bottle.
